Five years after tasting this wine, which I suppose is the former Axelle, I open this bottle now that it will be ten years old. As almost always I need references after a tasting a little disappointing of second Bd'x wines of which I expected a lot more, mainly because it was full of very well valued vintages. Open bottle directly for lunch. Unpolluted cork of low quality, bland and excessively porous. Bright crimson colour, dark core and watery edges. On the nose it was quite reserved, only with notes of iron ore, flesh, melted caramel, coffee bean and macerated cherries. Aromas defined but not very elegant. Petals and pastries are gone. On the palate it is very soft without any delicacy, on the contrary, of a sharp acidity that ends abruptly in the throat serving as a backbone. Aftertaste of dried cherries. Just fair as gastronomic wine this time. Certainly uninspired.
Cinco años después de catar este vino, que supongo es el antiguo Axelle, descorcho esta botella ahora que va a cumplir diez años. Como casi siempre necesito referencias después de una cata un poco decepcionante de segundos vinos de Bd'x de la cual esperaba bastante más, principalmente por estar plagada de añadas muy bien valoradas. Botella abierta directamente para el almuerzo. Corcho impoluto de baja calidad, blando y excesivamente poroso. Brillante color carmesí, de un núcleo oscuro y unos bordes acuosos. En nariz se mostró bastante reservada, sólo con notas a polvo de hierro, a carne fresca, caramelo fundido, grano de café y a cerezas maceradas. Aromas definidos pero poco elegantes. Los pétalos de rosa y los pasteles se fueron. Al paladar es muy suave sin delicadeza alguna, más al contrario, de una brusca acidez que finaliza de firma abrupta en la garganta y que sirve de espinazo. Retrogusto de cerezas secas. Vino gastronómico muy justito esta vez. Ciertamente poco inspirador.

Sedoso y buen equilibrado notas de pastelería y rosas. En boca con la acidez justa para refrescar comida. A este precio es irresistible y complace a todo tipo de públicos.
