Medium ruby color. Decanted for 1 hour. The nose exhibited plum, black cherry, caramel, herbs, and truffle. Still a fair amount of oak influence. Velvety mouthfeel. Would benefit from more tannin integration. Good length on the finish. Overall really good QPR, but I would wait another couple of years to allow more tertiary elements to emerge and the tannins to integrate further.

Second Sunday Group: 2012 Bordeaux (Mike's): Notes of ripe dark fruit without being overly ripe with a nice herbal undertone. Medium-bodied with medium tannins and flavors of plum, roasted herbs, tobacco and forest floor. Excellent. Drinking now but will last for a quite a while.

1 hour in mag decanter then consumed over 3 hours. Nose: Blood orange, cassis, and fresh cherries with bacon fat and earthy, mushroom herbal undertones. Palate: High toned with cherries, spice and still good acid and tannin levels. Finish is delicate and medium in length as this is almost Burgundian in style. Still going pretty strong for an 11 year old Bdx and the nose pushes this to 91 pts. Good value at $30.

Coffee, dark fruits, licorice, big tannins but well integrated. A few more years of life yet. Brief decanting, evolves in the glass. Excellent with steak au poivre.

Medium purple. This wine was decanted for 2 hours prior. Wonderful nose of red fruits, spice, perfume and gravel. On the palate it is showing spices, gravel, cherry, and leather. Good acidity and structure to the this wine. A nice 2nd label from Valandraud.
