What a wonderful surprise this was outstanding. Took quite an effort to open and a decant to 15 minutes of wonderment. Light in color with a depth of flavor

As expected - It's dead. It had a moment where it tried to come together - but it lasted a few minutes and then fell into an alcoholic, mentholic mess! Worth while experiment though…..
First monthy BWI tasting group: Double-blind. Notes from scratch paper: Fruity leather nose with some heavy chocolate notes. Clearly a mature French Bordeaux at its peak. Tannic and dry on the palate but very fruity. The mouth slightly under-delivers compared to the nose however the wine has a few years left at its peak. I don't think the tannin will be able to balance the fruit. Drink soon.

Blackberry and cherry fruit with savory earthy notes. Med ium acid and tannin.

Great old Bordeaux flavors, with some tart cherry in the mix.
