saw this on a wine list by the glass and had to give it a go -- doubt I have had VA Viognier before. This was a pleasant surprise -- served way too cold, so took some time to wake up. When it did, nice tropical fruit and pear notes. Fairly simple.

To the nose, apricot, pineapple, apple and pear. On the palate, very round mouthfeel with medium length for Viognier. Flavors of honey, pear, honeydew melon with citrus - pineapple or orange - at subdued intensity. Some minerality. Overall, very good and would buy again.

At the UVA alumni wine tasting, thanks to Gary for helping pick some great wines. Second wine of the tasting.
Gentle and elegant Viognier. Typical of the varietal, a perfumed white flowers, peach. Medium finish. Nice Summer aperitif or served with fruits/salads
