Nicely aged Priorat, a little bricking, secondary notes emerging with nearly resolved tannins. Got better after 2hr decant, then started to decline with higher acidity. I think this is near peak. Red fruit, enjoyable nose, better with food.

A private dinner (Restaurant The Royal Oak *, Paley Street, UK): The trio infernal consists of Combier, Fischer and Gerin. 14%. Very aromatic and a lovely depth of flavour, tar and spices but also flowers and bright red fruit, concentrated yet elegant, silky, lovely minerality, no heat stress at all, marries power and finesse, wonderful balance, excellent length. Delicious.

This was an excellent Garnacha blend - probably best of the few I've had in the past - and the first from Priorat vs Rioja.
