Clean, powerful and youthful on the nose. It offers up a smokey blackberry jam with baking spices. Dry, full bodied with fine silky tannins and good acidity. It tastes of jammy black fruits, spice and some minor minerality. A medium plus finish with moderate complexity. Good.

Well balanced and complex nose of violets, spice, cassis and mint that has a funky edge to it. There is some decent grip here, with the slightly grainy tannins playing against black fruit that is somewhat tarry in nature. The finish winds up pretty and floral with a slight nuttiness.

Day 2. Ripe black fruit aromas. There is just a hint of candied eucalyptus to the nose too. More glimmering than overburdened by it. Palate has some flesh, but still, just an edge. A little green pepper. Medium, fine-grained tannin. very nice QPR. Embrace the Margaret River.
