Quaffable inexpensive CdP - personally, I would rather pay $15 more and get a better CdP though. Hints of garrigue, kirsch, and leather. Tannins on the fine side but still quite assertive. Oak a bit obtrusive. Medium-low acid. Air helped. Decanted and spent two hrs in the decanter, then drank over 90mins.

Over-Under Spring 2016: 2011 seems like a good early-drinking vintage for CdP. Black cherry, bitter plum, hints of bay leaf and black olive. This was a gift but I think it's a Trader Joe's product and a good deal.

This is a dark ruby, medium bodied red blend with a sweet, smoky, spice on the nose. The mouth is plum, cherry, smoke with a black tea middle and tannins increasing on a slightly tobacco long tail. Better if loosely corked for several hours or just overnight.

Not bad, eventually - better than my low expectations. Let it breathe.

Similar to previous bottle, albeit with a somewhat more inviting nose.
