Cloudy in appearance. Medium nose intensity with notes of sour strawberry and sour cherry. Medium acidity and medium tannin. Medium+ finish. Did not decant. Don’t believe it will improve with ageing. Can drink up already to enjoy now.

I also had this back in February with a similar experience. This is in its prime and immediately accessible with 10 min of air. This is about to begin a slow decline and should be enjoyed within a couple of years. Well balanced and very light but not thin. Finish lingers. A very fine showing for a 12 year old village and worthy of the domaine and punching way above a village.

This was immediately accessible and held up nicely over the following three hours. A very well balanced wine that’s light on its feet. Certainly in its prime and should be consumed within the next year or two. Price point justified. Revisit 2023

The 2010 Côte de Beaune-Villages is moderately transparent pale ruby in color with rose variation. I used my Ah-So opener on this bottle, as with almost every Leroy bottle the long corks are soaked and can often display mold on the top due to over-filling. On the nose, this wine showcases aromas of dried cranberry, dried cherry, and dusty wild strawberry but is dominated by worn leather, sous bois, tobacco, mushroom, wet rock, and underbrush. Once in the mouth, the wine displays notes of crushed raspberry, dried strawberry, rose, gamey meat, forest floor, truffle, dried green herbs, smoke, white pepper, and stone minerality. This is medium-bodied with medium acidity, medium (-) tannins, and a long finish filled with tilled soil and red cherry.
100% Pinot Noir; 13% ABV

Very nice village wine. Fruity and rather light on the palate. Reasonably sophisticated duskiness with some mushroom on the nose. Right for drinking now or in the next 2 years.
