4th Saturday group "uptown" tasting (Sue's): Pale color with notes of lemongrass, smoky white fruit and jalapeno. Good acidity on the palate with flavors of jalapeno and grass. Guessed Sauv Blanc.

Appearance - clear, glassy, lemon colored. Yes, glassy like glycerine!
nose - ripe cantaloupe melon, teetering on over ripe, the ones that are so ripe where you smell the rind. A bit of citrus flower
Palette - medium acidity, balanced with alcohol, tasting a bit of ripe Mcintosh Apple, with the skin, the cantaloupe for sure, some white pepper, nice finish that lingers a bit, a little tingly on the tongue, refreshing but with body that holds its own and will make for a nice pairing with food. It's a versatile Italian white. Surprised it shows as 12.5% alcohol in that the body would make you feel like there is more. But just as well.

Nose of straw mixed with floral notes. Heavy and structured. Pretty good value
