Not as vibrant as the bottle I tried a few months ago. Dark fruit on the nose with a hint of chocolate. The palate was dark berries, plums, tobacco, tree bark and dried herbs. The finish was moderate to long.
Last night my good friend Michael and I decided that this was the star of the show. Opened for four hours and then decanted through a vinturi and allowed to sit two more hours. Dark fruit with hints of mocha on the nose. The palate was dark berries, plums, tobacco, mocha and earth tones leading into a long smooth finish. Absolutely enjoyable.

Similar to the bottle I had in the beginning of April The bottle was opened 3 hours in advance and decanted. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, dark cherry, hint of dried leaves, pipe tobacco and earth. The finish was long and brought out hints of dried herbs.

Very similar to my notes of last summer. The bottle was opened 5 hours in advance but not decanted. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, dark cherry, hint of dried leaves and earth. The finish was long and brought out hints of dried herbs. Not quite as vibrant as the previous bottle hence the slightly lower rating.

First time trying an Audentia - I had ten people at the club for the holiday dinner so I brought a bunch of 2010's to drink. A Realm BTK (the star of the show) and Insignia as well as a Nicolas Catena Zapata. All the wines were opened 6-7 hours before dinner and tasted at the 4 hour mark. The Audentia is an extremely well made wine. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, dark cherry, hint of dried leaves and earth. The finish was long and brought out hints of mocha. I scored it equally with the Insignia.
