  • 1.5l bottle. This bottle was a great disappointment. I opened it for Thanksgiving dinner and quickly opened 2 Redi VNdM to save the meal. On opening, there was way too much acid and lack of body. As time went by, the acid moderated and it began to show sour cherry and strawberry. We consumed the bottle, but only well after the meal was done. Rating is at end of bottle

  • Dark, big and ripe with a slightly rough and chalky finish. Opened up a bit more with time but definitely not on the elegant side of Pinot.

  • Tasted in Carmel Valley at the Morgan tasting room. Bought a mixed case of 2012 Pinots. This is my first bottle of the Double L. Dark, dark garnet. Nose of black cherry, plum, spice, and cedar. Ripe, juicy fruit-forward palate of black cherry, blackberry, plum, and spice. Excellent length. Pleasant acidity. It has the power, but not the elegance, of the best Pinots.
