It is a value for money chardonnay in a good way but not wow.
Nose has notes of stone fruits, especially grapefruit, nectarine and yellow peach with a touch of vanilla and nuttiness. Body lacked complexity and depth and somewhat insipid but for its price, it is more than acceptable. Finish was citrus and slates and quite long. Reasonable yumminess factor.
Drink now or 2+ years.

Sometimes less is more. The quietest voice can be the loudest. And so it is with this wine. Not overly interested in immediate gratification: quite happy to wait longer for two rewards instead of one now. Leaving just enough to the imagination, definitely seductive with smokey reduction and struck match. White Burgundy via the Pyrenees (Western Victoria). A somewhat surprising 14% ABV.

Developing great flavours but still running an overdose of citrus acids.

Better than the last bottle! A fresh aftertaste. Oak nose. 14 % alcohol. Mineral flavours. Great wine getting better with age.
