  • Strong Chardonnay characteristics of stone fruit and nectars, however the window for drinking this wine is now. I am not confident that the bottle I had this evening would have more than a year left init.

  • {screwcap, 13%} Mid-yellow - looking its age. Developing nose of cashews, light cedar/woodspice, and a mineral/stoney note. The palate is light-medium bodied, clean and fresh, with a little nutty/leesy character setting off the medium acid and very soft oak tannins. There's a pungency to the flavours - almost a cheesiness - that keeps changing the way the flavours land on the palate. Excellent presence right along the tongue; this is a classic example of lighter-bodied, lightly-wooded chardonnay which ought to power through another 5 years quite easily.

  • Complex and structured with lashings of rich buttery melon and toasty French oak. Fine and very long. Excellent.

ED: Had at Cumulus Inc in Melbourne, AU$80.
