Fantastic fruit (& a little leaf) on the nose. Excellent, mainly cherry, fruit on the rich palate with a little orange/peel emerging in the glass. Elegant wine - more finesse than the 2011 Terrunyo Block 27 Carmenere (from sub-blocks of the same vineyard, same winemaker - Ignacio Recabarren) which was tasted at the same time. If money is no object, this is the one to go for but the Terrunyo is much better value in the real world. The Carmin is already very approachable but it has decades ahead of it, I'm sure. Tasted with Ben Smith of Concha y Toro UK at Grand Union Wine Society.
