  • Similar in color to the Pelaverga; sweet/ripe red fruits on the nose.

Not quite as "lean" as the Pelaverga, and also with a little less acidity (although still adequate) and displaying riper red fruit on the palate, so while this is also a wine that will do better with food, it could also be enjoyed on it's own.

  • About four months since my last look at this wine; very lightly colored, even lighter than a typical Nerello Mascalese. Cherry-scented nose & menthol accents.

Nice acidity, ripe red fruits - great QPR here. Light-bodied, a wine you could drink with appetizers and conversation.

  • Light translucent ruby; almost like a rose'. Nice minerally nose with red fruits.

Light-bodied, nice tension on the palate, crisp acidity - really not bad given the under $20 price point. Short on the finish, and not overly complex, but still, not bad at all.
