Volcanic Wines of North London (Must & Lees): Wow - what a lovely nose, stylish and sexy with an attractive hint of oak. Somewhat soft and sweet on the palate, with lots of mellow red fruit. A delicious wine, in a good spot.

TWS North London; Volvanic Wines at Must & Lees (Must & Lees, N1): Burgundian colour, generous oak and really mature (too mature for 12 years?!). Far more progressed (to its benefit) than 12 years would suggest, and reaping the benefits of those tertiary notes, but I wouldn't want to have too many of these un-drunk in my cellar.

Volcanic Wines (Must and Lees, N1): It has that sweetness of age, perhaps over and above 12 years, more like 20 to my palate. Olive, brine, herbs, very smooth and clearly in a good spot. One of several Hatzidakis on the night and all were quite impressive.

TWS North London - Volcanic Wines (Must & Lees, N1): Quite developed after 12 years - although clearly I have no idea what the ageing curve for Mavrotragano may be - initially it has a raisined, almost porty nose. It's actually quite refined on the palate where it comes alive: transparent with high acidity, tart cherry alongside autumnal mossy, earthy and mushroom bass notes. There's a sense of savoury delicacy and a decent finish. Probably my one and only chance to drink Mavrotragano with some age and it was pretty good!
18 months in French oak, then another 12 in stainless. Bottled unfiltered.

Pungently Herby nose, even a little menthol Very ripe fruit, some sweetness it seems, full bodied, medicinal Heady and bit wild, Finishs clean and dry My wife wasn't keen, I liked it more but found it rather hard to drink
