  • Consistent with previous notes. This was the late bottle of the case. I’ve enjoyed this mini-hermitage - excellent PQR.

  • Similar to previous notes. Continues to drink very nicely. No sign of fading but don’t see any reason to hold onto the last bottle too much longer.

  • Similar to previous note.
Medium garnet colour. Medium intensity aromas of dried fruit (prune, raisin, fig), spice (black pepper), tertiary (earth, leather), oak (smoke, clove). Fully developed.
Dry palate, medium (+) acidity, medium dusty tannins, medium (+) alcohol (13.5%), medium body, medium intensity flavours similar to the nose, medium (+) finish.
Very good quality, drink now, not suitable for further ageing. Lovely mature Northern Rhone Syrah.

  • Medium garnet colour. Medium intensity aromas of dried fruit (prune, raisin, fig), black pepper, smoke, leather, earth. Fully developed. Dry palate, medium (+) acidity, medium (+) alcohol, medium body, medium tannins, still a little grippy, medium intensity flavours with the dried fruit dominating, medium (+) finish. Very good quality. Declassified Hermitage - you can tell the provenance. Drink now, not suitable for further ageing. I think this is starting to fade - I'll drink my remaining bottles in the next 12 months.
