Really a fun wine. I wish I could find more. Copying KL Wine's description, which I think describes it well: "The Barrel X is the winery's entry level offering, but it's so much more high-toned and complex than its price would suggest. Sprightly nuances of mineral, citrus, green apple skin and sea spray dance from the nose to the palate, which makes your mouth water with 9 grams per liter of acidity."
I'd like to try his higher-level wines if this is just the entry level. Import, please!

Unscrewed one hour in advance. Skunky aroma of citrus and slate. Rich stone fruit flavors up fron, vibrant zesty lemon kick in the finish. Sharply etched, robust flavors, complex, mutable. As always, outstanding value, outstanding wine.

A nose and palate of citrus blossom and minerals with some sweetness and fresh acidity, this has a slight frizzante element to it, especially when cold in the glass. A medium mouthfeel and a nice finish, a very nice entry level riesling to enjoy with something spicy.

This was said in another TN but "Wow, this is good!". Really - I enjoyed it a lot. Just a hint of sweetness but the minerality won out. There was a subtle after-taste of very mild saline but I loved it. One of my favorites going forward.

Wow, this is good. Score does not really do it justice. Dry but not austere. Very floral. Full of minerality, but not too much. Like mountain spring water, but better. Good stuff!
