It's interesting to compare this one with two other Marsannay's (Les Favrières, VV) from the same vintage from this producer. The common thread seems to be the expressive nose: predominantly red fruit, sweet coulis de framboise, rose petal, hint of black tea, well integrate oak. On the palate, La Montagne is most elegant among the three. Lighter bodied than Les Favrières with good length. Slightly higher acidity, slightly tart. Tannin tight, but ripe. Needs time.
