  • Wow! This was awesome! 1hr+ decant. High quality and elegance all around. Enough said!

Algemeen / potentieel: 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Smaak / Afdronk: 15 + Algemeen / potentieel: 8 = 90/100

Colour: Deep - almost opaque - dark red with a thin edge. Aroma / bouquet: Firm and robust bouquet, full of dark fruit and spice. Accents of leather, licorice and soft sweet licorice. Taste / Aftertaste: Mouth-filling, powerful wine, an explosion of taste, modest acidity, thick-juicy, retronasal impressions of blueberries and blackberries, pronounced powerful tannins that in the distance are reminiscent of laurel licorice. Powerful, a little too bitter and a little too drying finale. General / Potential: 50 + Colour: 5 + Aroma / Bouquet: 12 + Taste / Aftertaste: 15 + General / Potential: 8 = 90/100

  • Simply awesome! 1+hr decant and needed a lot more as the best glass was the last. Great nose of a classic Bordeaux. Wine was restrained at first but then showed integrated elements of cherries, cedar, and licorice. Bigger tannins than I was expecting. Insane texture and big depth. Loved it!!

  • I probably should have allowed this to breathe for a little longer. Anyway, still v. good!

  • Checked in on this over a couple of days and happy to report it's showing quite well. At age 10, there are still plenty of red fruit and plum notes on the palate, with secondary cigar box, leather, and iron notes competing for attention. Plenty of smooth drying tannins ad acidity to go longer, I think it's in a great place to enjoy now. Recommend pairing with food, went great with filet mignon topped with a few pats of butter. Day 2 = Day 1
