  • Very floral with orchard fruit and peach pit notes; very nice citrus and acidity on the palate with hints of maturity. Wide open style and quite good!

  • As far as I recall, this showed the same abundance of fruit from the get go, as did the first bottle of this tasted a few years prior; lots of ripe peach and apple with some notes of toffee and lemon custard. Rich but a bit clumsy and lacking definition. The palate seems ample but clipped with no real interest on the mid palate and short finish.

  • Pale yellow in color, this wine reveals white grapefruit, white peach and lemon zest on the nose. The mouth feel is medium bodied with defined graphite elements and apple undertones. The finish is well balanced with the fruit and acidity in nice harmony.

Retailing for $65US, this was tasted at the Wine Spectator Grand Tour in Miami on 5/12/12017.

  • a very fresh, vibrant nose of citrus-infused white peach and apple, coupled with wet green herbs, smoky minerals in the form of almost "gun flint." Linear and taut in the mouth with good energy and crackle from the acidity. Ends a tad short on the finish. Good material present.

  • Amazing right now. I've had a couple bottles of this recently in restaurants and I managed to get a bottle through a local wine shop. Bears a striking resemblance to its big brother Clos Vougeot Monopole--same smoky native yeast strains and right-in-the-pocket amount of oak. Think I'll let this one sleep through adolescence and revisit in 3 years just to see what happens--but if you find it, buy two and open one with something truffly. Best $65 I've ever spent on white Burgundy.
