  Tight, very high in tannins, almost no fruit. Bitter chocolate, black tee, unripe cherries. Violent, cool wine!

  Lovely tangy red fruits and berries, wafting hints of marmalade, mint, and herbs. Gritty and rustic, appealing, bordering on seductive mouthfeel, lasting finish. 91-92.

  Tasted over two days. This bottle needed some time to open, after which it popped with lively strawberry preserves and raspberry compote, essential oils, bramble, and precious stone-like minerality. Delicious!

  Appealing from the cork pull to the last drop. Barolo level perfume, richness, and complexity. Great acid and balance, 'sweet' lingering finish. Beautiful!
