Light garnet in color with leather and smoke on the nose, this Lincourt Pinot is ready to drink now. Not as fruit forward as some other Pinots there's strawberry, current, and vanilla on the palate. The long, smooth finish hints that this may be of higher quality than you would expect for the price.

Cherry, some licorice, vanilla on the nose. More dark fruit than is typical for a Pinot. Elegant and very well balanced. Mostly sour cherry on the finish.

Consistent with previous bottles I've tasted earlier, this wine is dark crimson in color and shows exotic aromas of sour cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg, rhubarb and cranberry on the nose. The mouth feel brought silky tannins, Asian spices, black tea and clove notes. The finish was medium in length with the silky tannins, enticing aromas and intense flavors intertwined beautifully.
Purchased for $17US, this is a very well made wine offered at an excellent price point. I'm in for more. Highly recommended. An excellent pairing with my lunch today of cheese and charcuterie.

Seems like this is everywhere for $16 or so in SoCal - and I'm not complaining. Hit a little heavy with the oak-stick for my tastes, but carries nice Pinot fruit and decent acidity. Hard to find a Pinot that tastes like Pinot at this price point, with or without the baking spices. Crowd-pleaser for sure, and heck, my glass is empty too.

I'm not as enthused as many of the other with this wine ... maybe it's in it's downward flavor profile as the fruit was quite muted.
