Citrusy and maybe a little tropical fruit up front, followed by orange pith on the back end. Creaminess coats the tongue, acidity seems unbalanced. I don't think I'd call it bad, but I would say that I didn't care for it.

The objective here was to find an inexpensive swigger that wasn't sweet. This was it. Bit of a zesty finish here with a medium body all for under $6. I dropped $200 on a bottle of Leflaive the other night and only got a glass of it so this made me feel better about the whole situation.

California Holiday 2015; 5/20/2015-6/2/2015 (Napa Valley / San Francisco City): pale lemon/straw yellow, clean. some tropical fruits and floral, reasonably moderate but not very clear. medium fresh acidity, but without any support to keep balance. a little bitter and hot in finish. it's not very easy to find a proper unoaked style for California Chardonnay.
