  • This is a beautiful wine: deep, complex - and above all - balanced. It caresses the palate and keeps you going for more. Definitely some gas left in the tank still.

  • From vines planted in 1865 - produced just in exceptional years, bottled unfined and unfiltered. Just 2,300 bottles produced for the 2012 vintage.
Deep red color. Beautiful nose with dark plums and toasty oak. A lot of things going on on the palate. Black berries, plum and liquorice - lovely spices and some vanilla in the back. Very concentrated but not overdone - very linear and precise. An absolute lovely example of an amazing deeply structured Australian Shiraz. I decanted it for a few hours which was a good decision. Drink now with a few hours of decanting or until 2030.

  • More immediately appealing than its junior sibling with intense purple aromas of cassis and light spice

Gently textured tannins; fresh ripe dark berries touches of savoury earthiness

    Good but pricy
