I chose this beautiful Syrah to pair with homemade smoked bbq cheddar pork burgers yesterday! A solid match and delicious Syrah. No formal notes as this was consumed briskly and socially with friends.

P: LM, poss Med, body; Almost swtish frt firmed by a bit of astringency, which pretty much resolves by the quite LONG, very slightly bitterswt choc finish. LOVELY for now & the next couple of yrs. Nonetheless, when considering that Melville's Syrahs under their own label are VERY highly regarded -- & significantly less expensive?!? 89 pts Vinous

P: MF, poss Med, body; Almost swtish frt met by balancing acidity, this morphing into a fairly LONG, pleasant finish. Palate NOT up to N, & considering its age, I'm GUESSING one should drink this... soon? 89 pts Vinous. [As of mid-May 2018, wine-searcher still shows one source of this @ $56.95.]
