  Voltando a beber este blend depois de alguns anos, agora o nº 18. Acho que a cada edição muda um pouco a proporção, mas seguem as mesmas cinco uvas autóctones: Montepulciano, Primitivo, Sangiovese, Negroamaro e Malvasia Nera. Estágio de carvalho. Alc. 14.5%. Como nas edições antes provadas, um vinho concentrado, estruturado, intenso e amplo, mas também harmonioso, de gole macio e final redondo, com boa fruta madura e toques de chocolate mais destacados. Muito consistente, uma aposta segura.

  Chocolate milkshake texture, full on oak bomb. Dark and overripe, sweet and sappy. A perfect caricature of a Rollandised wine, take a bow. 99 points though amirite.

  Dinner at the Papies (The Papies, Elizabeth St, London): This the 17th edition of this wine made in the south of Italy with 5 grape varieties. The full canvas of grapes and vintages allowed here. Young and with muscle but not a brash wine or lacking in charm. Just young and the fruit is on the forefront, it’s an interesting wine but hopefully we will get to try it again with some age.
