Murky crimson red - I like the look of it (whatever that means). The 2013 seems more full bodied than previous year, which have been the picture of precision and purity. It's not a bad thing - just a point of difference. Warm year showing through.
Bold plum and cherry fruit. Hasn't got the same minerality as previous vintages. Plush texture. Remains me of cherry liqueur chocolates. Acid a bit pokey. Very fine spread of tannins. Honestly, it's perhaps a bit pedestrian but it will also please many.

Bibendum Trade Portfolio Tasting 2014: Slate, cherry and musk. Very tightly wound on the palate, the structure is good but the wine needs time to unfurl.

Moncur Cellars Pinot Noir (Bistro Moncur, Sydney): aromas of blossoms and red berries, cedar, muted spice and stalks. On the palate there is sweet and sour red berries - from almost bitter currant to ripe strawberry then grippy, mouth coating tannins. What is going on? Feels very disjointed.
