  • Big fruit: lots of Citrus and pineapple with other tropicals and a bit of apricot. The acid is full and actually is a bit excess in that it is not fully in balance with the fruit. Syrup consistency and long tangy finish. The acidity downgrades the wine by 3 or 4 points I hope the acidity integrates more with time.

  • Bought on a lark from WineBid. Opened a few days ago. cork disintegrated, but wine OK. Color: Dark brown, with a little red. Nice nose, stewed apricots, lots of botrytis, zingy and sharp, spicy. not complex, but smells good. Palate: Very thick, sweet, and huge on palate. Dark roasted fruits: figs and apricots, lots of spice and botrytis. Not great balance, a little cloying, but there is some acidity there. a little bit of a bruiser. Showed a little heat on finish the first night, seems to have burnt off by now. Finish is OK, not great. Not enough acid to carry it though. Nose: 4/6, Palate: 4/6, Finish: 3/6, Je ne sais quoi (wild card): 0/2 = 11/20 = 82/100

A deepish teak colour. Gorgeous, caramelly, very sweet riesling nose. Lovely open, rich palate, displaying very nice balance. Very elegant and remarkably fresh. This is a very nice wine, though I think there’s just something missing. Very Good Indeed.
