I found a bottle of this in my cellar. This estate was owned by Paul Jeune from Monpertuis from 2000 but then sold on later on I believe. The fruit is still fresh and very much alive here. It is darker toned with marks of dark plums. Spices underneath. A serious wine from Ventoux, not a facile mountain wine. A pleasant surprise, happy I cellared this. A Rosenthal import.

Deep ruby color with peach edges. Earthy aroma with mild spices and fruit. The taste is large with berries, sharp acidity, plenty of alcohol warmth but mild tannins and a moderately long finish. Overall, a large wine suited to accompany a flavorful provencal meal rather than drinking on its own. I preferred the younger 2003 Signature vintage over this bottle.
