Wonderful wine. Decanted one hour before dinner. Deep dark black look to it. Loads of ripe red fruit on the nose and the finish was long and amazing. Hints of leather and cocoa on the finish. First time having it. Took a while to open up. Great wine. Lots of years left to hold onto it.

94+ So it's not a voluptuous, opulent Schrader, but dang when u pair it with a spinalis cut and full on ribeye with buttery asparagus and potatoes and bernaise.... Yep, that is the beast you need. Tannic, but ripe. Just lovely.

Zachys Schrader Dinner (Bouley): This is good, but the '13 of this is better. More accessible right now though. Again that velvety red fruit and a wonderful softness to it, but I just have this feeling that we are seeing what we're going to see from this whereas the '13 is more teasing and interesting and has many more places to go.

Strangely, this has more acidity and freshness, along with a lighter touch than the otherworldly 2013. While the wine has loads of deep, rich, sweet dark berries, the vibrant, chocolate covered boysenberry finish is the best part of the experience.

Schrader Wine Dinner (Spago Beverly Hills): So approachable right now. Lush and well-balanced. Truly fantastic cab.
