It’s been six years since my prior tasting note, and the wine is holding up well. Well with balanced with red cherry and typical cabernet black fruits. Rich but not extracted. A good value for a premium Napa wine. Drink now-2026

PnP at restaurant. Similar to my previous TNs. Initially a ton of deep cherreis - just one notch shy of cherry cough syrup. A bit more luscious black cherries on the midpalate. Still something lacking (or angular) about the finish. Otherwise a nice Napa Cab from a challenging vintage nearing maturity. Seems to have the stuffing to last a few more years.

Decanted 1 hour. Controversial aromas of herbs, cassis, mulled wine, sharp black cherries and spices. Medium bodied and structured from a generally weak Napa vintage. Most blind tasters were not able to identify - some totally missing the varietal - hence how "unique" this wine is...

Decanted 1hr+. Interesting herbal notes mixed with vanilla and cassis on the nose. Medium bodied with fairly lean, structured fruit with hints of oak, tobacco, earth and herbs. There's fruit underneath - the question is will it ever become dominant... Lots of minerality and angularity on the finish. Probably needs a few more years, but at the risk of the fruit drying out further. 89-90

Opened, but not decanted, an hour before consumption. Black fruit nose, plum and blackberry flavors. Amazingly, not a speck of sediment.
