Had this over three days. Probably at its best on day 3, with the fruit opening up more alongside the pretty flowers that this variety can provide. Another excellent wine from Peter, as usual.

Similar to last time, with extra pepper and more juicy blue fruit. The tannins are completely integrated, so no reason to wait any longer. Lots of fine sediment.

Opaque magenta with ruby highlights. Plum, wet leather, and crushed blueberry nose. Medium bodied, blackberries, dark chocolate cherries, ample but not aggressive tannins, good acid, dried tea, and a very dry but nice boysenberry finish. Quite drinkable now with an appropriate decant or vinturi.

Tight, young PS at first sip. Pours deep opaque purple. Palate is bramble all the way, stems and all. Finish is slightly bitter - stems? With an hour plus of air, it's opened up on the palate if not the nose. Still getting hints of ethanol on the nose. The bitterness on the finish has faded, and the fruit is a little more pure. Bottle finished strong. This is nice...should be good for years.
