Pop and pour and tasted with food (grilled pork baby back ribs, and polenta, in case you were wondering) and then on its won. Garnet color. Nose offers plums, cherries and some mushroom/soy notes and wisp of cedar. Delicious dark fruit profile with a savory mushroom and herbal/cedar note. Nice touch of red clay on the mid-palate. A delicious sangiovese. The acidity gives the fruit lift and makes for a nice accompaniment to the food.

should have bought more - drank well over 3 nights - medium red color with clear meniscus and no sediment. Tart cherry, cherry, herbs on nose. On palate, black cherry, cherry, dried herbs with medium body, medium+ acidity and medium+ finish. 90-91 range and definite re-buy.
I preferred this to the 2010 GRAN SELEZIONE San Lorenzo from the same producer.

Mørk burgund/rødlig farge.
Lukter av mørke bær, tørka kirsebær.
Mørke bær også på smak. Middels lang ettersmak. Ørlite tanniner i avslutningen.
En god middels kompleks vin.
