Consistent with first note from a year ago, this starts strong but finishes a little flat. Aromatics and flavors are what one might expect from a new world Bordeaux blend, but missing the layers and grip that separate France from NoCal. Good, but not worth the tariff.

1.5+hr decant. Dark red color with hints of rust and purple. Lovely nose of dark cherries and cedar, which is the highlight. Great texture but restrained and thinning. Starts out like a nice Bordeaux then turns into a classic Napa Cab then becomes very average mid palate. So much promise but doesn’t deliver. Needs more depth and flavor. As the wife said, very nice but probably a ~$50 bottle not an ~$85+.

Very nice wine, not many tannins left though still enough fruit to represent the well loved vineyard. Still a great Cab and will be for several more years though I don't expect it will improve with more time.

Pedestrian wine at this price point although my wife loved it on Valentines Day (which was I opened it). With reverse seared NY Strip steaks. Velvety, dark fruit on the palate; notable oak finish. IMHO lacks power, structure and complexity.

Very good wine. Really started to come alive at the 3 hr mark of decanting. Red fruit showing through.
