Dinner at Osteria Langhe (Chicago, IL): This shows a little too glossy and showy for what I want in a Barolo, and is simultaneously too shut down and tight right now as well. It's a bit of a mystery how that works, to be honest. Not much to say here, this is a pretty foursquare and ordinary wine at the moment, and there's really no downside to hoping that this gets a lot better with some more age.

Floral, fruit forward (berries), herbaceous, and 'sweet' oak. As with many La Morra wines, it represents the pretty side of Barolo.
