I had higher hopes, given the bottle price. Not fouled in any way (I tend to think claims of premox are massively overplayed across the board), but also not a very impressive showing.
Clean palate, showing some stonefruit, but a bit flat on acid. Could be that I waited too long also, but drink up would be the recommendation.

did not appreciate premox. needed about 60 min air but great mouthfeel, i felt the matchstick dominated palate but hints of some tropical fruits too. agree not quite qpr but certainly drank and enjoyed by all.

Given the amount of money I paid for this one I really want to like it. However, it clearly shows signs of premature oxidation with a deep yellow color. Reading about the wine apparently it has 50% new oak. It smells of decaying fruit and vanilla. Can’t get my mind around it. Not recommended at this stage. Have two more bottles and hopefully it will pick up.
So day three and it has improved substantially. Still some bruised apple but remarkably better and actually drinkable, with good concentration, mouthfeel and acidity. Goes along with what I have read regarding some wines appearing to recover , at least somewhat, from premature oxidation. Nonetheless, will drink the rest sooner rather than later.

This is a delightful linear wine with moderate weight, exhibiting white orchard, some tropical notes and white pepper/matchstick with a medium to long finish. Recommended.

Interesting but didn’t love the vague matchstick note
