From a pristinely-cellared bottle, this medium golden Chardonnay is aging beautifully. Intensely aromatic, it offers an intoxicating bouquet of citrus, pit fruits, hazelnuts, jasmine, saffron and wet stones. Medium-bodied and crisply acidic, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose. The alcohol (13.2%) and oak are seamlessly integrated and the mid-palate is impressively dense. Lengthy and vibrant on the back end, this particular bottle shows no signs of oxidation. Comparably cellared specimens should be at their best over the next 2-3 years. Drink now-2024.

Odd bottle that is oxidizing. When I first poured it it was colder but as it opened the deep golden hue and nose and body became increasingly off. I have to admit it was tasty for the first ten minutes...so an odd one to try to grade...

These are community notes from our tasting: light straw color, clear, pineapple, tropical floral notes to the nose, body has minerality some butter, peach vanilla good structure and very good balance . Medium long finish, touch of flint. Gets extra points for its balance--Drinking well now.

disappointed as i like this producer and have had terrific wines from them before. first time having their l'Ormeau. this was tart green apple and not much else. short finish. not much complexity or minerality. hope my other bottles are better

New producer to me. Full, slightly tropical but with good cut, nice village wine. B/B+
