Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • i ususally prefer oregon pinot noir to burgundy ones at the same price point, but this $31 wine was very nice and comparable to $37 oregon labels. this was also a little smoother and more elegant, but that could be wholly due to being 3 years younger than the oregon comparison. but i would drink this again, and i had almost given up on burgundy as being anywhere near worth the money. i.e. i always assume to quality to price ratio in burgundy is minimal, but the recipe called for burgundy. Oh yes, this was bought to cook with, in a coc au vin. but i am enjoying drinking it. that is not meant dismissively, as i believe it is probably a mistake to cook with wine one would not drink. you are still going to taste it.
