  • A deep ruby Pinot with plenty of character, Domaine Derey's 2015 Marsannay Vignes Marie offers black cherry, fig, cocoa, pickling spice and loamy earth aromas. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic, judiciously oaked and with well-woven alcohol (13%), it delivers flavors mirroring the nose. The tannins are light-to-medium in weight but carry a bit of grip that is pervasive throughout the mid-palate and medium-length finish. While this may improve with another year in the cellar, there is no need to hesitate in opening a bottle. Drink now-2025.
