  It's a lovely golden/copper colour, with an outstanding botrytis-based nose of orange, honey and stonefruits. There's a nice plush texture on the full bodied, sweet palate, with a nice layering of fruit that others have mentioned: there's orange, honey, lime, mango, apricot, cardamon and cloves. Sorry it's the last bottle (A-/A)!

  PnP consumed over the course of 7 days; color still rather youthful straw gold. The most striking features are in the mouth here, the nose getting an average-to slightly above average rating at this point. BUT, this wine is young, and the best bottle development has yet to come. Only nit is enough vibrant acidity. Where the wine really excels is in the keen layering, the soft folds of fruit so seamlessly leading from one spice dusted orchard fruit to the next (which was most evident on nights 3, 4). Just the right amount of honey here, so as not to distract. Good, and getting better, but I think it will fall short of great. Held its own over the course of 6 nights quite nicely. 12,0% abv, drink thru 2032, 500ml

It’s an intense wine aromatically and on the palate with canned peach, quince paste, hints of cardamom and other exotic spices and candied orange rind flavors and aromas. It could use a little more acidity as there is a bit of a syrupy quality to it, but there’s just enough structure to prevent the wine from being cloying.   Popped and poured. Light gold in colour, with an orange/copper tinge. Light-medium nose of apple jiuce, cinnamon, and that chenin wet wool and mineral funk. Perhaps a little monolithic right now on the full bodied palate, with apricot, apple, spices and orange. Would have liked a little more acid, but this is a very tasty, powerful and viscous wine with a 45 second plus finish. Delicious now, but it should improve over the long term (A-/A-).

  Consumed over 3 nights. First night, nose had an offputting madeirized quality, but after several hours, settled into canned peaches/apricot aroma; palate of botrytis and apricot. Third night, a completely different wine-- excellent apricot, honeysuckle nose, and palate of apricot, honey, minerals, acidity, great balance.
