  • This seemed more rustic than my previous bottle. A touch of Brett too! But, overall, great balance and sense of place at a moderate alcohol level. Gained depth and blossomed over three hours in the decanter. Great with a Moroccan lamb tajine and couscous.

  • Floral, fruity and mineral. Black berry, red cherry, chocolate, coffee, spice and lavender soap. Salami as well. Medium bodied, high acid, medium tannin, very powdery, polished, not rustic at all, nice mouth feel, flavors of sour cherry and leather, medium finish. Clean and mouthwatering. Much more refined than the bottles I remember ten years ago. Full of personality, good sense of place. Great acid, great balance. Very nice. Enjoyed with yakiniku. Reminds me of a northern Rhone, and I think it would appeal to those who appreciate Burgundy or the southern Rhone.
