Wow. Decanted off of some sediment. Deep garnet color with no brick. Nice nose that shows yeast, soil, black cherry, and sweet oak, all hooded over with herbs. Excellent structure, with richness well-rimmed with acids, a sweet spot. Long finish with light tannins and some dust. Totally worth the wait.
Pretty much identical to my last bottle and good with pizza. Nice nose with loads of caramelized brown sugar and orange peel; loads of dark fruit. On the palate, loads of red fruit, some serious oak presence, and very sweet and rich. Softer tannin on the finish than before. Not so complex, but very drinkable.

Visited winery in Los Olivos known for impressive Syrahs and came back with half a case. Decanted for one hour. Great mouthfeel on entry with fruit and oak in harmony. Bramble and spice lingers through a glorious and lasting finish. Best Cali Sangiovese I've had hands down!

Decanted, and in a good place right now. The oak seemed dominant, but not bad. Loads of tar and confit orange peel on the nose. Full bodied and some sweetness on the palate, with ok acidity. Finishes with slightly coarse, but soft tannin. Sweet and a fair amount of oak, but eminently drinkable...
