Wine C of 2012 Chardonnay horizontal night, rank 3/6
The Villaine half of wine really shows in this collaboration project. A lot of people thought it was Burgundy or a great PEC. Fine oak, elements are clean, defined yet restrained. Very balanced tho not outstanding. Would be interesting to age it for 10yrs.

Really lovely stuff! This wine has a stunning depth and acidity that make you want to repeatedly keep grabbing your glass and sipping more. Honey and flowers on the nose, finish is long with lemon, green apple, and the lightest hint of mint and oak.

This wine is rich without being buttery or cloying, acid is present but not primary. It is delicious , and paired well with grilled salmon. It is not a mineral acid driven wine nor a buttery oaky Chardonnay , it's right between those two ends of the spectrum.
