  Ripe notes of tomato jam at the fore this features strawberry marmelade and raspberry aromas. Medium weight with feathery tannins and a rich, juicy mouth-feel. Good to see how well this has evolved over time.

  Kalecik Karası grapes sourced from the 20 year old Kalecik vineyards at 700m altitude. Aged for 7 months in second and third use French oak. Ruby fading to garnet at the rim. A slight oxidized tang out front with ripe red berries and sweet spices. Lively and even juicy on the palate with an earthy undertone. Quite warm and porty on the aftertaste.

  Elegant with a lovely fruit and tannin balanca.Ripe juicy and refreshing with medium finish.Quitq a nice wine to enjoy 88.88/100Point

  Tasted as part of the 2016 Şarap Tutkunları Tasting in İzmir where I was invited as a guest along with Yiannis Karakasis MW, Tuğba Altınöz WSETDIP, Murat Yankı and Serdar Balkaya. The tasting panel included Dilek Caner MW, İsa Bal MS and Ayhan Güleyen. The following tasting note and the relevant score belongs to me only.
  Pale ruby with mixed red berries on the ripe, opulent side. Like most Kalecik Karası wines tend to be like these days.

  Supple, gentle fruit, fragrant, touch of tannin here
  Nutty finish
