  • This pours light garnet in the glass with light bricking. The nose is nice on opening but really unfurls over the course of a couple hours, at peak around 3 hours in. Aromas are of dried red cherry, pomegranate, mustard seed, dried ginger, fresh tilled wet soil, rose petals, animal fur, forest undergrowth, toast, and cumin seed. Super expressive and complex. Whats particularly amazing here is the palate is even better with bright and pungent sweet red fruit on entry, showing an array of red cherry, blood orange and pomegranate, turning to low tannin and medium plus citrus tinged acid and a finish that moves toward the secondary notes showing mustard seed, forest undergrowth and animal fur. While not as long as top producers, perhaps only medium, it is quite harmonious and enjoyable. Overall tremendous texture and just great stuff. I'll treasure my next bottle. Very good and very soulful.
