  • Same dark crimson color as previous vintage. A little less integrated and rich than the 2009. Dark berries like blueberry, blackberry, chocolate, oak, earth, mushroom and very slight butter. Slightly less than full bodied. Pretty good finish. Best if bottle-breathed for an hour a day before consumption. 90~91/100

(Trapiche Iscay Malbec & Cabernet Franc) Saturated, opaque, black-tinged red violet color; savory, tar, roast coffee, pepper nose; tasty, roast coffee, tar, light pepper, charcoal palate with good balancing acidity; could use 1-plus year; medium-plus finish (70% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Franc; 15% alcohol; 18 months in French oak, 100% new) 91+ points
