Vancouver Confrerie Chapitre des Valentines (Five Sails - Vancouver, BC): Great nose displaying a burst of lemon citrus, along with some floral white flowers, crushed sea shells, saline, and dense charred oak. The toasted oak follows through to the palate, along with some bright fresh lemon juice, crushed slate, and more floral notes. Long length finish ending on notes of fresh lemon and charred oak. Where the oak starts to slightly take over, the crisp acidity helps bring it back into place and balance this out. Very good.

White Burgundy Tasting: $29.99 full retail. Served single blind (I brought this flight but did not know in what order the wines were served). Subtle nose. Nice minerality. Citrus. Fairly high-toned. Excellent. Clearly, this is a solid value and hangs with many more expensive white Burgundies. Looking forward to trying the other Saumaize-Michelin '04s that I bought...
