2013 Grand Cru Horizontal tasting (Prince Wine Store, Bank Street, Melbourne): Red berry over cherry, spice, a certain herbaceous (stalky?) quality baked by touches of liquorice and lightly toasted oak. Also a bit of wild ferment. In the mouth it's savoury with slight sour berry fruit then drying gritty tannins close things down a little though the fruit persists. Long. Simple and youthful at this stage.

Onklers Grand Cru Tasting Spring 2018; 4/20/2018-4/22/2018 (Tord): Blind. Sweet, clean and clear fruit on the nose. Sweet cherries and some leather. a bit powerful in the mouth with blood, iron and metal. A structure that dries a little.

Liquorice, oak, cinnamon and herbs on the nose and palate. Clearly young. A bit too rustic today. The fruit is not very showy.
