While the 2013 BlueGray is bottled in Gratallops, the 2012 vintage lists Porrera as the village. And while the 2013 vintage was very bright and young, the 2012 tastes a bit more structured and firm, with the carignan lending more of a ripe, dense core. 45% grenache, 30% mazuelo (aka carignan), 25% cabernet sauvignon. 15% ABV.

drinks above the price tag, stewed berry and earth on the nose, soft entry, powerful as it crosses the palate, raspberry, plum, smoke and cassis flavors, a heavy dose of tannin, the finish is long, had with a beefy stew, a structured, strong performing wine for the price, excellent value

Really earthy/raisiny nose. Black and blue fruit with that earth & some spice. Missing a little something to move it to the next level, but still good.

Popped and poured, drank over 2 nights. Nice nose, with blackberry and plum notes. Good fruit on the palate. Thin in terms of texture, and it evaporates on the finish, but a pretty good value.

Dark garnet, fruit forward, great with food. Very mild tannins. A little oak and blueberry on the nose. Dark berries and spice. Very enjoyable.
